The Nove Stone Bath Mat™ is made entirely of Diatomaceous Earth (DE), a naturally-occurring, powdery material found in the sea. DE’s porous surface allows it to absorb water fast, helping to keep floors clean and dry.

Diatomaceous Earth is antimicrobial by its physical properties - not through the use of any chemicals or toxins. In its raw state, the material traps bacteria and parasites, causing them to dry out and die.

Daily care:

Unlike traditional bath mats, the Nove Stone Bath Mat™ utilizes rapid drying technology that dissipates moisture and helps to prevent mold. However, mold is a sneaky invader. While our mat can hold 150% of its weight in water, it needs adequate airflow to rapidly dry. Every once in a while, lay your Nove Stone Bath Mat™ against the wall and let it fully dry out between uses.

Cleaning:

In the event that your mat gets stained, it can be cleaned in two ways:

• For light stains or scuffs, use the included sandpaper to gently rub off any marks
• For more extreme stains, small amounts of bleach or hydrogen peroxide will do the trick.

This is to be placed under your Nove Stone Bath Mat™ to provide a non-slip base, and to help disperse the weight evenly when stepping on the mat. Place it evenly between the floor and your bath stone.
